Byron van Vugt

Byron is an Investment Manager with NZ Growth Capital Partners (NZGCP) Aspire NZ Seed fund. His passion lies in solving complex problems, creating value, and making a positive impact in the tech ecosystem. With a background in mechanical engineering, finance and marketing he is particularly interested in the development and implementation of novel technologies that can change the way we all live for the purpose of greater good.  

Recently completing a master's degree in BioEngineering reinforced Byron’s excitement for technology which is being developed across NZ and the incredible people behind its development. Having grown up on a lifestyle block on the edges of Auckland, and enjoying time on the water, Byron is particularly interested in what novel technologies developed within NZ could mean for primary industries across the world and the influence this could have across various natural ecosystems.
