Brigitte Ravera

Brig is a manager in the KPMG Propagate™ team, KPMG New Zealand’s dedicated food, agribusiness and export advisory service.

The team’s aspiration is to fuel New Zealand's prosperity by accelerating the competitiveness of our food and fibre sector. Brig’s work allows her to solve complex problems with talented and passionate people within the firm, as well as clients, and the wider food and fibre sector; she loves the intellectual challenge the work brings and the opportunity to positively impact the sector which has given her so many opportunities.

Prior to joining KPMG she worked in the sector, primarily in the dairy industry at a production level. Her experiences over this time included working for a levy organisation in their frontline team to support farmers to improve their businesses and implement farmer-driven on-farm change, as well as working at the coalface, managing a 1000-cow operation.

Brig recently graduated with her Masters in Management (Agribusiness) from Massey University, her final year research project was an explorative analysis seeking to understand leadership within the food and fibre sector – who are the sector’s leaders, who are they leaders to, and what skills and attributes are required for leadership of a sector.

Outside of work, Brig is a keen sportswoman who enjoys pushing herself to her physical limits, and spends many hours paddling on the ocean in both dragonboats and waka ama.
